On October 24, 2018, Google Product Manager said in a post on Reddit that upcoming update on Files Go App.
This updated version of Files Go App consists built-in media player features for both audio and video as well as latest version also brings some other features such as faster sharing apps between the devices, advanced browsing and secure app installs.
It includes, the advance browse feature lets you dig into the folders on your phone that it is easier to access the folder and this has been one of the most requested functionalities by the users.
As Files Go App is now a part of Google’s offline peer-to-peer shared apps to ensure that the apps you receive approved from the Google-Play for easy installation and auto-update, this new features called “Secure App Installs”.
Coming to the next feature is Faster Sharing, this new version offers you to transfer the data and files up to 500 Mbps of transfer speed and it requires only 5 seconds to make the connection between two devices.
Additionally, this time Google brings all the necessity things in one platform, new version also has the built-in media playback feature that offer you to play audio and video, with this you have the control on play, pause, forward and backward like as common media player along with background audio playback support enable you to use any other app without disturbing the player.
